Niklas Schwarz
PhD Candidate
Medical Physics
Institute for AI in Medicine, Germany
Niklas studied Computer Science at TU Braunschweig, specializing in computer vision during his Master’s, where he focused on strengthening the robustness of machine learning models against noise and distribution shifts. Having originally joined IKIM as a student assistant during his studies, he is now pursuing his PhD here. His recent research focus is in medical imaging, where he explicitly aims to bridge the gap between microCT and histological images by leveraging non-destructive 3D information to enable faster and better diagnostics.
