After a Master’s in Mathematics and with a background in Software Development, Osman joined the Multimodal Computing and Machine Intelligence (MCMI) group at IKIM as a PhD candidate. He works on the application of NLP in the medical field, focussing on the aspects of faithfulness and factual consistency of automatic text transformations. In particular, his project revolves around Extractive/Abstractive Summarization Systems for the clinical domain to automate writing clinical documents, such as discharge letters etc.
